Caesars Windsor To Host ComiCon

(WINDSOR, ON) – Windsor ComiCon, a Colossus celebration of comics, sci-fi, and all things pop culture, will be arriving at Caesars Windsor on August 15 and 16. The initial celebrity and comic guests announced include Giancarlo Esposito of Breaking Bad, Sean Pertwee of WB’s Gotham, and Ray Park, better known as Darth Maul from Star Wars.

Watch for many more to be announced over the coming weeks.

Show hours are Saturday from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Saturday will also feature an exclusive evening performance by Kevin Smith of Clerks, Mall Rats, and Comic Book Men. The evening with Kevin Smith will begin at 9:00 pm.

The two day event will feature celebrity autograph sessions and photos, cosplay contests for adults and kids, shopping galore, sketch duels from favourite comic artists, Celebrity Q&A sessions, panels and workshops, and much more.

Adult tickets start at $20, kids under 12 get in free with an adult.

“Windsor is known as a hotbed for comic book creators and artists, like David Finch, Tony Gray, Jeff Lemire, and Jay Fabok. We’re bringing an event that embraces the talent that has come from this area and are looking to make Windsor ComiCon a signature event for years to come,” said event organizer Steve Menzie.

Windsor ComiCon is designed to be an accessible event and inclusive of some of the most popular genres including comics, sci fi, horror, gaming, anime, and cosplay.

“Our hope is to highlight the considerable local talent and continue to grow interest for the event year after year,” said Menzie. “We will have a number of announcements of featured talent in the coming weeks and are looking forward to the continued support from the community.”
