Caesars Issues Layoff Notices

By Ian Shalapata

(WINDSOR, ON) – More than 60 support staff have been laid off from Caesars Windsor, but the numbers are mitigated by job postings for 19 full-time and 18 part-time positions. Thirty-seven gaming personnel cuts were announced in January bringing the total for the year to 98, including 66 full-time employees.

The current round of cuts are a result of efficiency measures according to Caesars Windsor spokesperson Jhoan Baluyot.

Workers in the food and beverage, transportation, and finance areas were given lay off notices yesterday. They are eligible to apply for the new postings as long as they meet the positional requirements.

  1. Caesars Windsor keeps cutting jobs and the city of Windsor keeps giving them tax cuts.
