(WINDSOR, ON) – The Border City Comedy Fest starts in Windsor July 10th, and will continue the rest of the summer. The Border City Comedy Festival is an 8-week long comedy competition where the winners will receive their share of a $5,000 prize pack.

Audience votes count, so enjoy some laughs and root for your favourite comic to win.

There will be acts from across North America arriving in Windsor to compete for the grand prize. It’s like Last Comic Standing in your own backyard.

Eight comics compete for five minutes each, with the top three moving on to the Saturday show. On Saturday, the top three will compete, for 11 minutes, after which the evening’s winner will move on to the Final Round; to be held in September at the Walkerville Theatre.

The opening show will feature Brad Wenzel, one of the areas hottest new comics. Brad has opened for all of the best acts in the word and has performed at the top festivals. Wenzel is a recent winner of the Great American Comedy Festival, just a month ago.

This weekend, show-times are today and tomorrow at 9:00 pm, both nights.

Support doing something different this weekend and help send one comic on to win their dream prize, or stop someone by not voting.

For tickets call 226-346-0646 or get them online and save money by purchasing online, in advance.
