100 Women Help House Of Sophrosyne

(WINDSOR, ON) – The first 100 Women Who Care Windsor-Essex of 2015 proved to be another success as the women of the organization gathered to show their continued and ongoing support for the Windsor-Essex community.

House of Sophrosyne was selected as the 9th charity by the women of the organization and will receive a donation of $12,600 at the next 100 Women Who Care Windsor-Essex meeting. The meeting will take place today at the Essex Golf and Country Club, where another three charities will be nominated to receive a $10,000+ donation.

House of Sophrosyne is a women’s health clinic with locations in Windsor, Essex, and Amherstburg. Holistic services and programs are offered to women and their families who struggle with substance misuse or dependency. It also offers a Residential Treatment Program, which consists of a 35-day combined addiction and trauma treatment program.

100 Women Who Care is a simple equation of 100 women committing 100 dollars, four times a year, to collectively create positive impact for people in our community that are in need. The group meets four times a year and all dollars collected go directly to the selected charity.

The group was co-founded in Windsor by Maureen Lucas, President of Lucas Works, and Liz Farano, Vice President of Douglas Marketing Group.
