(WINDSOR, ON) – Are you actively trying to become pregnant? Or perhaps pregnant or post-partum? There will be a Healthy Mind and Body FitMama Exercise Workshop for new moms held at Bump Maternity in Walkeville on December 13 between 10:00 am and 11:30 am.
Prenatal Health Expert, Jen Oliver is hosting the pelvic health info and exercise workshop and will be answering questions regarding all things pregnancy and post-natal exercise/nutrition related. Additionally, local experts in pelvic health, personal training, yoga, breastfeeding, and more will be at the seminar to answer all queries.
Jen Oliver has a passion for de-mystifying pre/post-natal exercise and explains how the core muscles actually work. Her straight-talking delivery about working your core safely and effectively will ensure your best outcome in pregnancy and beyond.
“I never thought about rehabilitating my pelvic floor after my first two births, and since I have started Jen’s exercises, I feel stronger than ever before,” said Angie, a long-time client of Oliver’s whom she met between child two and three.
The workshop promises to be a practical low-impact exercise-based seminar for preparing your body for a healthy pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Techniques and exercises for pregnancy and birth recovery will include breathing, movement, rehabilitation, and re-connecting the brain pathways to the deep inner core muscles.
“I found out specific weaknesses I had when Jen did her assessments on me,” recounts Elise, a previous workshop attendee. “In just a few minutes, I learned that I had a separation in my abs, how to avoid making it worse, how to rehab it, and how it is causing me to have a protruding abdomen, despite my healthy eating and exercise efforts.”
Oliver has partnered with local pelvic health Physiotherapist and Chiropractor, Sheetal Jadhav and Allison Kivisto, who work with clients internally and externally, respectively, to strengthen the deeper core muscles, improve posture, assess imbalances, and test brain-body connections, as well as do scar manipulations post c-section which help to avoid adhesions and promote faster, deeper healing.
Oliver’s background includes personal training, nutrition coaching, pre- and post-natal training, and she is a proud mom of two.
