Over 175 Homes Flooded In Windsor

(WINDSOR, ON) – The City of Windsor has arranged an additional garbage pickup service for Friday, August 22, for residents that experienced flood damage due to the heavy rainfall last week.

There were originally 175 addresses registered for Monday’s special pickup service. Any garbage not picked up yesterday, from those registered addresses, will be collected this morning. Residents not registered for the first pickup can now do so for Friday’s pickup.

The City is reminding residents that, even if you have called 311 to report flooding in your home, you must call again, before Thursday at 7:00 pm, to request a pickup on Friday. Your address will not be registered with collection crews otherwise.

If you are having difficulty connecting through 311, use 519-255-2489.
