Stand-Off In Grey County

(CHATSWORTH , ON) – Members of the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to Concession 8 in Chatsworth County just before 7:00 a.m. yesterday to investigate an incident that involved threatening allegations.  

Grey County OPP members arrived on scene to find a male party armed with a weapon.  The area was quickly cordoned off ensuing public safety.  Presently members of the OPP’s Tactics Rescue Unit (TRU), Negotiations Unit and OPP Incident Command are on scene attempting to safely and peacefully resolve the issue.

In the interim members of the public will not be allowed near the incident location on County Road 8. A perimeter has been established at Side Road 7, Side Road 9A, Concession 6 and Grey Road 3 until this incident is resolved.
