Library Holding BBQ For Patrons

By Chris Woodrow

(WINDSOR, ON) – The annual Windsor Public Library BBQ is scheduled for Saturday, August 27, 2011 and runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Central Library – 850 Ouellette Avenue.  Board Members and Administration will be hosting a BBQ to personally express thanks for the continued support the library receives from staff and the community.

There will be a small charge for BBQ items with the proceeds going to the Unemployed Help Centre Food Bank.  Items to be served include hamburgers, hotdogs, potato chips, pop, water and other summer treats.

Also scheduled throughout the day are special children’s activities and music from The Hula Dogs – and there will be a sale of VHS movies and assorted materials from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Children’s activities include a Games Zone with Nintendo Wii (11 a.m.-4 p.m.); a Craft Table (11 a.m.-4 p.m.) and a special storytime for our younger BBQ attendees (1-1:30 p.m.).  The Hula Dogs will begin performing at 11 a.m. and then at regular times throughout the day.

Mark August 27 on your calendars and experience the BBQ cooking prowess of Administration and Board Members!
