(WINDSOR, ON) – As a local Walkerville, Windsor city parent, I am proud to be a part of the parent committee at l’Envolee school, Ottawa street, Windsor.
Recently, l’Envolee school parents and principal Denyse Berycz entered a major Canadian Funding competition “AVIVA” to win a new GREEN playground for the students. L’Envolee found out this week that we are semi-finalists in this major Canadian competition!!!
How did we win?
All parents, students, their friends, and local Windsorites went online everyday and voted for this project designed by the parents at l’Envolee school. Now that is school community and pride!! We could win 100k to fix the school yard. To win the grand finale, WE NEED VOTES from Windsorites, like you, to get through round 2. All you have to do is vote at www.avivacommunityfund.org. Idea #5754 Our playground project was posted by Anneke Smit.
I don’t know if you know, but this school has to raise its own funds to fix the playground equipment. For now, the students have nothing to play on.
Please help us make Windsor even better by voting for this project in Round 2, beginning December 2nd- 15th. With 10 votes, you can vote every day for 10 days, just keep choosing the l’Envolee Windsor school playground idea.
Please visit www.avivacommunityfund.org
Our idea is named: Urban Schoolyard Greening and Play Structure.
Special thanks go out to Anneke Smit and Kim Nelson, two UofW professors for their hard work in pitching this idea! Bravo!
Please Help Windsor.
