Belleville Police Officer Charged
(PICTON, ON) – On July 23, 2012, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Prince Edward Crime Unit launched an investigation into complaint that between September 2010 and July 25, 2012, a Belleville Police Officer was criminally harassing an adult female.
As a result of the investigation, Eric SHOREY, 34 of Belleville was arrested and charged with:
- Criminal Harassment
- Breach of Trust
Information indicates that he was off-duty at the time of the incidents and was accessing computer programs through the Belleville Police Service.
He was released on a Promise to Appear and an Officer-in-Charge Undertaking with conditions to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on August 22, 2012.
