Street Fight In Chatham

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) – The Chatham-Kent Police responded to a neighbour dispute on Timmins Cr. Chatham and arrested a man for weapons dangerous and assault with a weapon.

On Saturday, June 23, 2012 police were dispatched to Timmins Crescent in regards to complaints of a disturbance on the street between neighbours.  The accused male party was carrying a sword and making threatening gestures. 

Police arrived on scene at approximately 10:49pm. The people involved had just separated and returned to their respected properties. The sword was seized and there were no injuries sustained.  The disturbance started over an on-going dispute between the victim and the accused over the sale of a dog.

The accused was subsequently arrested and held for a bail hearing.
