Clippers Fight Back

By Carl Humphrey

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Clippers seem to be able to rise up for the better teams in the league, and tonight was no exception as the Clippers defeated the 11-3 Spartans 8-3. The win improves the Clippers to 9-7 on the season.

Lucas Ducharme, Jeff Rivait and Brendon Anger each scored twice for the Clippers, while Bryan Larocque and Ryan Marchand scored singles. Kyle May stopped 37 of 40 Spartan shots to earn the victory in goal.

With four games remaining the Clippers are sitting in a tie for the last playoff spot. Up next for the Clippers is their final road game of the season with a trip up the 401 to visit the London Blue Devils. The two clubs have split the season series to date, with each team winning at home. The Clippers will host the Wallaceburg Red Devils at home on Friday night. Game time is 8:00 pm
