Clippers Edge Mohawks In Nail Biter

(WINDSOR, ON) – The young Windsor Clippers got back to .500 with an exciting 11-10 victory over the Elora Mohawks (5-2). While the Clippers improve to 3-3 on the season, the Mohawks record goes to 5-2. This is back-to-back games where the Clippers knock off 5-1 teams. On Wednesday night the Clippers defeated the Wallaceburg Red Devils 12-8.

Tyler McDowall scored the winning goal with 1:05 remaining in the third period to break a 10-10 tie. It was McDowalls third goal of the evening. Lucas Ducharme, Brendon Anger and Jeff Rivait each added a pair of goals for the Clippers, with singles added by Logan Holmes and Ryan Marchand.

Jake Weidner was a one-man wrecking crew for Elora with two goals and five assists. Kyle May went the distance in goal for the Clippers to claim the win.

With Sunday’s game being postponed due to the death of the London Blue Devils sponsor, Dr. Guiltinan, the Clippers will look forward to hosting the Sarnia Pacers on Wednesday night. Game time at Forest Glade Arena is 8:00 pm.
