Preds Lose Game 2 Heartbreaker

(FOREST, ON) – In game two of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Playoffs the Lambton Shores Predators lost another hard fought battle against the Sarnia Legionnaires with a final score of 3-2.

Sarnia netted one unanswered goal in the first period to end the period 1-0.

In the second period Sarnia would score at 1:34 to make it 2-0 Legionnaires.

The Predators rallied to come back and score two goals. The first from Ryan Rontondi at 2:07 assisted by Cody Trowell and Trevor Ladd. The second goal from Brett Thompson on a power play at 3:09 assisted by Corey Pauley and Tanner Ferguson ending the second period at 2-2.

Sarnia would then score a late goal at 7:37 of the third period to go ahead and win the game 3-2

“We played three good periods.  The bounces didn’t go our way but we didn’t quit. We deserved a better out come”  said Head Coach Mark Davis.
