Rough Night At River Rock

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) – Four persons were arrested at and near the River Rock Nightclub located on King St., in downtown Chatham.

Police were called around 1230 A.M. after a patron who had been at the nightclub earlier tried to re-enter but was denied by security staff.  The accused man then spat in the face of the doorman and a fight began. A 19 year old man was arrested for assault.

While the police were there two other male persons were also observed to be too intoxicated as they left the nightclub.  Another 20 year old man assaulted a police officer, while he was at the River Rock,  and he too was arrested for assaulting the officer.   Two of the intoxicated males were released when they sobered up and issued tickets for public intoxication.

The other two men were subsequently released with a future court date for the assaults.
