Enjoy Parks’ Natural Beauty

(TORONTO, ON) – Almost ten million people visited Ontario’s provincial parks in 2011 – an increase of 50,000 visitors from the year before.

A number of Ontario Parks remain open during the winter season, offering a variety of snow-filled activities for children of all ages, such as cross-country skiing, skating, snowshoeing and winter camping.

Most Ontarians are within a two-hour drive of one of the province’s 330 provincial parks, providing families and visitors from around the world with a wide range of accessible and affordable outdoor activities.

Ontario Parks brought in almost $63 million in revenue in 2011, which supported jobs and businesses all across the province.

Reservations can be made up to five months in advance of the arrival date by booking online  or calling the park reservation line at 1-888-ONT-PARK.
