Clippers’ Skid Continues

By Mike Soulliere

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Clippers skid during the stretch drive continued Sunday night as they were hammered 23-7 by the Six Nations Rebels. The Clippers hung with the Rebels for the first period, ending the frame trailing 4-2. The Clippers were outscored 5-1 in the second period and then the Rebels embarrassed the Clippers in the third period scoring 14 goals. The 23 goals scored by the Rebels is the most ever scored against the Clippers in their nine year history.

The Clippers will get right back to work in practice this week in preparation for the final two games of the regular season. The Clippers will host the Guelph Regals on Saturday night at Forest Glade Arena. It looks like this will be a preview to the first round of the playoffs as the two teams are currently the third and sixth seeds.

Jeff Rivait scored four goals for the Clippers in the loss. Singles were added by Steve Hinek, Brett Hickey and Corey Burchell.
