Unconquered Sun Committed To Community

By Joseph Papic

(WINDSOR, ON) – Recent comments made by other manufacturers during the Cansia Solar 2011 Conference regarding Ontario’s Feed in Tariff or FIT program drew into question the green energy industry’s commitment to Windsor and Essex County.

“We operate in many jurisdictions and we have seen changes in FIT programs before,” said Paco Caudet, general manager of Siliken Group, a Spanish manufacturer of solar panels. We are committed to Ontario in the long run but if the program were to be cancelled, we would move to another jurisdiction,” said Caudet, whose company began production in Windsor two weeks ago.” (Windsor Star, 7 May 2011)

Windsor’s own Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies Inc, proud manufacturer of the Windsor Series Solar Panel , reaffirms it’s commitment toward Windsor/Essex becoming a sustainable base for the manufacturing of renewable technologies. Feed in Tariff program or not.

”Most of us with Unconquered Sun could have left the area long ago when the mass layoffs came, but we chose to stay, diversify
and rebuild,” said Sean Moore, CEO of Unconquered Sun. “The core values of this company are perseverance and dedication to the community of Windsor and Essex County. The namesake of our product is a nod to the talent, innovation and the unconquerable will of the people in this area to succeed come what may, and The Windsor Series Panel is quickly gaining recognition for it’s world class efficiency as witnessed at Ontario Solar 2011.”
