Police Officer Facing Charges
(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) – As a result of an investigation being conducted by the Chatham-Kent Police Service’s Professional Standards Section, Constable Jayme O’Reilly faces both disciplinary and criminal charges for primarily off-duty conduct.
Constable O’Reilly, a ten year member of the Service, was arrested Sunday evening. He was held in police custody overnight and released at a bail hearing on Monday afternoon. Due to a publication ban regarding the criminal proceeding, no further information will be released.
O’Reilly was also suspended from police duty and will be subject to Police Services Act disciplinary action once the investigation has concluded.
